Combine fun gaming experience with chill laidback mode in the couch and you will get the newly combined Xbox One and HBO Go app. Microsoft has recently announced the inclusion of HBO Go application in its latest game console.
The American tech giant, who has been the makers of Xbox consoles through the years, said the arrival of HBO Go to Xbox One will allow its users to watch new and fresh episodes of their most-loved HBO flicks. This includes the top hit series of the television network which includes True Detective, Games of Thrones, Girls, Entourage and The Sopranos.
"Xbox is one of our subscribers' favorite ways to access HBO Go and its incredible breadth of award-winning programming," Jeff Dallesandro said. HBO's vice president for digital domestic network distribution also added, "Now, Xbox One users can get in on the action and Kinect with the very best HBO series and films on this innovative, state-of-the-art device."
Aside from the updated TV viewing experience, the new HBO Go app will also have the Xbox Kinect's voice and gesture control which will allow its users the convenience of searching the network with just a wave of hand of through a quick voice command.
To be able to access the new HBO Go app, users would need to authenticate their subscription based on their area location. The TV network giant has already hinted the release of a standalone service that will be launched in America next year.
Alongside HBO Go, Microsoft also announced the launched of Crunchyroll, Movieplex Play and Encore Play in Xbox One last week. These new application joins other apps which include WWE Network, GoPro and the NFL.
HBO Go has been launched in Xbox 360 ahead its premiere in One console. These two game controllers now have a total of 170 entertainment applications.
