After six episodes of The Flash series, viewers already saw Barry Allen unleash a number of supernatural abilities like run faster than the speed of light, walk on water, run on side of the buildings, and change his voice to conceal his identity. Those are not the only thing that he can do. In the next episodes, you might see Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) travel not only from building to building but also through time.
In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Greg Berlanti teased that there will be a time travel in the show.
"That is the one that we deal with directly in the winter. We, obviously, hint at it from the pilot episode. That is a big - "theme" is the wrong word for it - but that is a big part of the DNA of who The Flash was, so we do deal with that," Berlanti said.
This is not the first time that 'time travel' on the Flash series was discussed. In last month's also teased the Flash series spoiler from TV Line's Matt Mitovich, he revealed that Barry Allen will time travel after an accident.
"I am unable to speak to that specifically, but series lead Grant Gustin confirmed during our visit to the set, "Time travel will be a part of the show" - and seemingly at Barry's own, inadvertent doing. "The first time it happens, I think it's an accident, and that's going to be fun to play with," he said. "I'm looking forward to that," the website wrote.
Speaking of travel, Barry Allen might run his way to Arrow's Starling City again after the scheduled the Flash Arrow crossover episodes. Or it could be, fans might see Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen pay Allen a visit again in Central City. The two CW Network shows are set to share an episode twice before the year ends. That might happen again next year, as per Berlanti.
"We just started talking about that. It's so much fun to do. They're so hard to do. But I think they'll be so rewarding for everybody, ultimately, that that's our hope, for sure," Berlanti said when asked if there will be more the Flash Arrow crossover episodes at the second of the season.
