Still clueless about the American Season 3 premier date? Well, here it is now. FX has finally revealed when will fans of the period spy drama see Philp and Elizabeth Jennings (Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell) again. This revelation came at the same time that the network announced significant dates for its other shows like Justified's final season return and Archer's sixth season premier .
FX Network confirmed that The Americans Season 3 premier date is on January 28 next year at 10 PM e/p. That is roughly two months from now. Aside from Rhys and Russell, actors who will reprise their roles in previous seasons are Noah Emmerich as Stan Beeman, Annet Mahendru as Nina Sergeenva, Holly Taylor as Paige Jennings, and Keidrich Sellati as Henry Jennings.
With the way The Americans has stacked its cast during its break, it seems the show is gearing up for a more epic run. In earlier the Americans Season 3 spoilers, it is revealed that veteran film actors are going to join the show for some heavy roles. One of them is Frank Langella.
According to The Americans Season 3 spoiler from the Hollywood Reporter, Langella "will appear in multiple episodes as Gabriel, who used to work with Philip and Elizabeth, and comes out of retirement to take back responsibility for overseeing the two KGB operatives from their previous handler, Claudia (Margo Martindale)."
One more big screen artists set to grace The American Season 3 is Julia Garner who is known for her role in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. As per THR, she will play "a young woman who unexpectedly - and dangerously - crosses paths" with the Jennings couple.
Another character that will make the protagonists' life as spies and parents a lot harder is Karen Pittman's Lisa, "a struggling mother and recovering alcoholic who works on the assembly line of a highly classified Defense Department project and just became the Alcoholic Anonymous sponsor of newly sober Michele."
With the Americans Season 3 premier date now confirmed, hopefully a trailer will follow soon.
