Quaker Steak & Lube restaurants announced that it would expand throughout Texas, including a new store in Waco, and three locations in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area between the summer of 2012 to early 2013.
The first restaurant scheduled to open as part of the expansion will be the franchise in Waco this July, said Quaker Steak & Lube in a press release issued on Tuesday. The second location will open in Carrollton in the Dallas-Ft. Worth region in September; the last two stores, to be set up in the areas of Plano and North Dallas, will open before the end of the year, or even early 2013.
"We're ready to stampede across the state and introduce Texans to our unique motorsports-themed dining experience," John Longstreet, president and chief executive officer of Quaker Steak & Lube, stated for the press release. "The expansion of The Lube in and around Dallas-Ft. Worth is another step in our plans to double our footprint over the next several years."
In addition to the four stores opening in Texas, Quaker Steak & Lube plans to open 12 new establishments this year in the states of New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Virginia, listed the press release. The company has 50 running restaurants currently across 15 states, as well as Canada.
Since its opening in 1974, Quaker Steak & Lubes have been known for their Best Wings USA, providing over 20 sauces for their foods, and their vehicular-laden décor throughout their restaurants. Featured as part of the decoration for the typical Quaker Steak & Lube are race cars suspended from the ceilings, said the press release, motorcycles, Corvettes, and gas station memorabilia throughout the store.
Quaker Steak & Lube, also referred to informally as The Lube, provides fast food options, in addition to their chicken wings, like ribs, steaks, burgers, sandwiches, burgers, beverages, and kid's meal.
