Patriots' Jerod Mayo To Appear at Dick's Sporting Goods' New Northborough Store

As part of its celebration for opening a new store in the Northborough, Mass., Dick's Sporting Goods will have a special appearance by New England Patriots' linebacker Jerod Mayo, as well as giveaways.

The grand opening will take place on Wednesday, June 13^th at Northborough Crossing, 5102 Shops Way, when the doors to the store first open, and will continue through Friday, June 15^th, where a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place outside the store at 8:00am EST, said a press release issued by Dick's Sporting Goods, Inc., on Monday.

"Dick's Sporting Goods is excited to become a member of the Northborough community with the opening of our newest location," Lauren Hobart, Dick's Sporting Goods Chief Marketing Officer, stated for the press release. "With unsurpassed customer service and the best products in the industry, we are the equipment solution for athletes of all ages."

On Saturday, June 16^th, Mayo will make an appearance, and the first 250 people who queue up on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at 8:00am that day will be able to attend the event, said the press release. Mayo will greet the fans who got the wristbands, and give out an autograph for each event attendee who arrives by 11:00am, and end by 1:00pm EST.

In addition to Mayo's appearance, Dick's will be giving away gift cards to the first 100 people who line up at the store's opening on Wednesday, which could range from anywhere between $5 to $500, said the press release, where one lucky consumer will get the top end of the gift card prizes at $500.

SofSole will further aid in the opening of Dick's Sporting Goods in Northborough, which will be the 17^th location of the company in Massachusetts and 489^th in the United States, said the press release. SofSole will provide gift cards worth $100 to Dick's customers who sign up throughout the weekend for a chance to win. Those who are part of the SocreCard Rewards Program will further have a chance to win free prizes during Dick's store opening, where they could win one of two $250 gift cards or one $500 gift card.
