"We are always looking to find top-performing candidates for jobs in our restaurants, and support departments," said Monty Moran, co-CEO of Chipotle.
"To get the very best applicants, it's important to be accessible using the platforms that people are using. Increasingly, that means mobile."
With more and more people using the Internet today, Chipotle decided to include mobile applications on their vast array of services.
According to a Nielsen Study on "the new digital consumer," adults in the United States spend an average of 34 hours a month on the Internet using their own smartphone, while only 27 hours are spent on a computer.
Furthermore, Pew Internet Research said that two-thirds of smartphone owners use their phones to visit the Internet, one-third of those using their phones as their primary Internet device.
Jobs at Chipotle help promote individual advancement because the company's culture is strongly committed to develop people internally, "promoting from within."
95 percent of Chipotle's restaurant managers originate from within ranks of its crew.
