Marley Coffee announced that it will continue its global expansion by bringing its blends to at least 60 grocery and retail stores in South American, particularly in Chile.
Marley Coffee made a deal with distribution company Com.Dicalla S.A. to make the roasted gourmet coffee blends available to South America for the first time, said Marley Coffee in a press release issued on Thursday. Through the agreement, Marley will initially send out six types of Marley Coffee's organic coffee blends and six varieties of their Whole Bean products to Chile, all packaged in 8 oz. bags, said the press release.
"Chileans love premium quality coffee and we have many retailers and other partners in Chile who are eager to make Marley Coffee available to their customers," Roberto Lasen, Gerente General, Com.Dicalla S.A. said for the press release. "For years we have provided our customers with the highest quality products and we're honored to add Marley Coffee to our portfolio. Their delicious, organic coffee and commitment to coffee farmers and sustainable business practices are values we admire and share."
Marley Coffee in general offers two varieties of the Jamaica Blue Mountain Ground Coffee roast blends, noted the press release, as well as USDA-certified organic ground coffee and whole bean coffee to its customers in the United States. The coffee brand also has compostable Single-Serve coffee pods for home or office usage.
"South America is among the world's largest exporters of coffee, so we are very proud to be among the premium coffees Dicalla has chosen to import to Chile," Rohan Marley, chairman, Marley Coffee, was quoted as stating for the press release. "Marley Coffee is now in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Our movement continues to grow!"
Marley Coffee will launch its new RealCup this fall, which will be compatible with the Keurig-brand single-serve coffeemakers used often in households and offices across the United States. Those will be available to the public in September. It is not known yet when Dicalla will distribute the new products to Chile.
"Chileans have a demanding palette when it comes to coffee, so we are very pleased that Dicalla has chosen to distribute Marley Coffee to its customers," Brent Toevs, CEO, Marley Coffee, stated for the press release. "We are building distribution across the globe as we make Marley Coffee available to people who appreciate our products and our mission."
