Krispy Kreme's new store in Indian Land, S.C., will host a variety of giveaways to the first customers in line, as well as hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officiate the opening of its new southern franchise base.
The newest Krispy Kreme location will open at 6:00am EST on Tuesday, June 12th, and invites locals around nearby communities to take part in its inauguration, and will include free giveaways and sample tastings, according to a press release issued on Thursday by the Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation.
"We are extremely excited about bringing our delicious array of one-of-a-kind doughnuts and complementary beverages to Indian Land," Cindy Bay, SVP of US Franchises and Company Stores for Krispy Kreme, stated for the press release. "We want everyone to join us at 6 a.m. as we flip the switch for the first time on our Hot Doughnuts Now sign, and throughout the day as we celebrate the joy of Krispy Kreme with our local fans."
Among the free giveaways for the first 100 people in line for the store's opening will be, according to the press release: one free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts every week for a year to the very first customer in line for the store; one free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts every month for the 2nd through 99th person in line the day of the opening; and all first 100 customers will additionally receive a commemorative Krispy Kreme Indian Land Grand Opening T-shirt for their diligence.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 11:00am EST on Tuesday, and will feature the local Krispy Kreme staff and local dignitaries, said the press release. The store itself is about 2,500 square feet with a convenient drive-thru facility for customers.
As with all stores of the Krispy Kreme franchise, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, an assortment of doughnuts will be available for purchase in addition to the signature Original Glazed, said the press release, as well as Chillers, iced beverages, and the brand's custom coffee blends.
