As part of its strategy to expand the company, Baskin-Robbins will be hosting a seminar on June 13th in Florida for those interested in owning their own franchise store of the famous ice cream vendor around Fort Lauderdale.
Baskin-Robbins will be hosting the seminar exclusively for those in the Fort Lauderdale area as part of its expansion through southern Florida, said Baskin-Robbins - a subsidiary of Dunkin' Brands Group, Inc. - in a press release issued on Thursday. The company is looking for entrepreneurs who meet the financial requirement needed to open their own store. The company hopes, as noted in the press release, to open around 15 stores within the next few years in the Floridian cities of Miami, West Palm Beach, and Fort Myers.
"Baskin-Robbins has a proud tradition of providing quality ice cream products for more than six decades, and is renowned for offering irresistible flavors and frozen treats," Grant Benson, CFE, vice president of franchising and market planning, Dunkin' Brands, Inc., stated for the press release.
"We are the only national chain offering both hard scoop ice cream and soft serve, as well as creative cones, custom ice cream cakes, specialty desserts, frozen beverages and take home treats. We look forward to growing our presence throughout Florida in the coming years," Benson said.
The seminar, called "Becoming a Baskin-Robbins Franchisee," said the press release, will run on June 13 from 1-3pm EST at the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport Hotel in Dania. Opportunities to expand the corporation to Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, Collier, and Lee counties will be discussed and reviewed. Registration for the seminar can take place at Baskin-Robbins' official website.
Baskin-Robbins currently has over 6,700 retail stores around the world in nearly 50 countries, noted the press release, and in the 2011 full-year brought in an estimated $1.8 billion in sales. The ice cream franchise offers over 1,000 flavors of the frozen dessert, as well as ice cream cakes, frozen drinks, and sundaes, listed the press release.
