Nutritional bar company Good 'N Natural announced on Tuesday that it will be expanding its franchise nationwide.
Good 'N Natural bars were created by nutritionist Sarah Walker in her own home in 2004, said a pres release issued by the now-expanding company. Walker focused on creating a nutritious snack without additional preservatives and chemicals, with ingredients like rolled oats and maple syrup, and originally sold bars from her kitchen, where customers would pick up their orders from a cooler outside her Idaho-based home. With the success of the bars and brand, Walker enlisted friend, chef, and caterer Anne Scales to further expand the organization to reach more people.
"Good 'N Natural® bars have come a long way since I first started creating them in my kitchen eight years ago, so you can imagine how excited I am to be able to share them with everyone across the country with this nationwide roll-out," Walker, M.S., R.D., Cofounder, Good 'N Natural® bars, stated for the press release.
"We understand the trend toward finding a convenient snack that not only tastes good, but provides the nutritional benefits necessary for an active lifestyle - we're proud that we've created a bar that accomplishes all of that, using natural whole food ingredients!"
The Good 'N Natural fruit, nut, and seed bars, according to the press release, come in four flavors: Cranberry Almond, Peanut Butter, Chocolate, and Lemon. The bars will be available in convenient stores and groceries across the United States.
"Having been a chef most of my life, I knew we had a great-tasting, high quality product. While we really weren't intending to create a business out of the bars, they were so popular in Sun Valley that the business just took off," Scales, Cofounder, Good 'N Natural bars, was quoted as stating for the press release. "It was a leap of faith when we began to increase our production. We decided to let the bars lead the way and we would follow!"
