Schick Hydro Silk & The Band Perry Team Up for Summer Concert Tour

Schick razor brand announced on Friday that they teamed up with Country Music Association Awards' and Academy of Country Music Awards' winners The Band Perry to promote their official 2012, as part to market the company's Schick Hydro Silk products.

The first promotion for the collaboration already began on Schick Hydro Silk's official Facebook page, according to a press release issued by the company, a subsidiary of Energizer Personal Care. From June through September, Schick Hydro Silk will interactively follow the band through cellular and mobile activation at a variety of tour stops throughout the United States.

"Schick Hydro Silk is excited to partner with The Band Perry this summer," Matthew Rader, Senior Brand Manager, Energizer Personal Care, stated for the press release. "Launching a new brand requires the ability to cut through the clutter of other branded messaging in the market place.

"A partnership and affiliation for a new brand like Schick Hydro Silk with the CMA and ACM awarded 'New Artist of the Year' The Band Perry allows us to deliver not only a unique message and experience, but lets us leave a more indelible branded imprint on a consumer," Rader continued. "This is about marketing with the consumer, not to them. It's about leaving an emotional fingerprint on each and every consumer that engages with us."

Fans interested in following the band through Schick's interface can do so via Android smartphones, iPhones, iPads, and iPhone Touches for a water-themed environment on which they can learn more about the razor products, said the pres release. This includes hydrating misters to a sleek lounge area for fans to relax as the web-based display shows consumers about the Schick Hydro Silk products.

In conjunction with the collaboration, Schick will start a contest running from June 18 through August 9th through their Facebook page called "The Band Perry Escape" sweepstakes. There, fans could enter to win weekly music themed prizes, Schick products, said the press release, and even the grand prize of a VIP trip to see the band live in concert.
