Hallmark will unveil several exclusive film-related ornaments at the 2012 San Diego International Comic-Con this July, including those of characters from "Star Wars," "Batman,", and "Battlestar Galactica."
The three Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments will be featured at the brand's booth in the LucasFilm Pavilion, noted the press release issued by the company on Wednesday, as well as other new sets from the 2012 Keepsake Ornaments spread like "Edward and Bella's Wedding" from "The Twilight Saga," and "The Amazing Spider-Man," tying in with the July release of the Marvel-hero reboot.
"We're excited to return to Comic-Con and to reward our passionate fans with exclusive Keepsake Ornaments and first-looks at new products," Beth Dorr, associate merchandise manager for Keepsake Ornaments, stated for the press release. "This year, we're bringing back fan-favorite activities, such as daily pin giveaways, and offering new activities, including autograph sessions with a Hallmark Keepsake Ornament artist."
Among the three exclusive ornaments, set to be sold and given sneak peeks into from July 11-15 at Comic-Con according to the press release, include: "4-LOM and Zuckuss," a two-pack featuring criminal droid 4-LOM and Gand tracking expert Zuckuss from the second installment from the "Star Wars" saga, "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back," created exclusively for event sales like Comic-Con. The bounty hunter set will be sold in a limited run of 1,000 sets at $35 suggested retail price.
"A Human Hero" from the "Batman" and "Dark Knight" series will be the second ornament available from Hallmark at Comic-Con, which was sculpted based on the 1986 comic book "The Dark Knight Returns," noted the press release from Hallmark Cards, Inc. The set of the Batman figure will run at a limited number of 875 units for about $25 each.
The third of the new keepsake ornaments, the "Cyclon Centurion," comes from the 1978 televisions series "Battlestar Galactica," a group who, as said in the press release, "relentlessly pursue the "ragtag" survivors of the twelve colonies of humanity across the reaches of space with a single goal: destroy all humanoids." The gold-painted version of a previous-released ornament set will sold at $25 at a limited run of 750 pieces.
