DIGIORNO pizza announced on Tuesday that it will be expanding its brand by label by opening two new product lines, including the DIGIORNO Pizza Dipping Strips, and DIGIORNO Italian Style Favorites pizza.
The frozen pizza franchise expanded the varieties of strips and favorites to be offered, including with pepperoni, chicken parmasan, and three-meat options, listed the press release issued by Nestle USA, parent company of the pizza brand. Each boxed sets will be sold at supermarkets, grocery stories, and shops nationwide at a suggested retail price of around $7.39.
"We've translated our fresh-baked taste into even more unique new forms to excite your taste buds," Tom Moe, marketing director for DIGIORNO pizza, stated for the DIGIORNO press release. "We know consumers want variety, and these two new offerings push frozen pizza to deliver taste in exciting new ways for consumers."
The DIGIORNO dipping strips, according to the press release, will contain a thick crust pizza with 12 pull-apart strips, and two extra sides of dipping sauces for dunking, in the flavors of zesty marinara and creamy garlic. The three varieties of dipping strips include: DiGiorno Pepperoni Pizza Dipping Strips; DiGiorno Three Meat Pizza Dipping Strips, containing sausage, pepperoni, and beef; and the DiGiorno Four Cheese Pizza Dipping Strips, featuring Mozzarella, Parmesna, Romano, and Asiago cheeses.
Touches of olive oil and herbs would be tasted in the DiGiorno Italian Style Favorites pizzas, said the press release, so that the pizzas from the freezer would be just as authentic as those at any pizzeria. Those three styles, as noted in the press release and all on a rising crush, available for purchase include: the DiGiorno Italian Style Favorites Meatball Marinara, containing Italian-style meatballs, marinara sauce, Mozzarella cheese; the DiGiorno Italian Style Favorites Chicken Parmesan, using white meat chicken, tomatoes, and marinara sauce; and the DiGiorno Italian Style Favorites Meat Trio pizza, comprising of Italian sausage, Genoa salami, and pepperoni, with Mozzarella cheese spread across.
