Listen up Smash Bros. players! Bugs' happy days will finally be ending as Nintendo announced the imminent release of Super Smash Bros. 3DS Patch. Through its twitter account, the Japanese multinational tech company posted the big announcement.
The 1.0.4 update will reportedly "fix various problem to make the game more enjoyable to play" according to Nintendo. While the specific content of the new game update is not released yet, tech geeks and avid Super Smash Bros. players expect the new patch will fix some issues of the cross fighting video game.
This news is definitely good news for the loyal gamers of the Super Smash Bros. 3DS video game, as the patch is expected to bring good changes to the game. Though no one can pinpoint yet, some report hinted that there might be or might not be improvements in the game's characters.
It can be recalled that in 1.0.3 patch, 'players found themselves guessing at what Sakurai did and didn't change. While a few were on point, others were little more than a shrug of the shoulders.' Some also see changes in Little Mac or Zero Suit Samus' OP-ness.
Some Super Smash Bros. players may want to have character improvements included in the patch but some would like to see little change in the existing playable roster of the cross fighting game. On the other hand, the new patch is also seen as Nintendo's effort to reach out to the players.
As Nintendo strives to be active in both fighting and patching scene, the tech company will try to achieve balance and keep the players engrossed on the game with the upcoming patch. "Patch 1.04 is set to address some balancing issues within the game, or as Nintendo puts it in vague terms."
On the other hand, Super Smash Bros. 3DS patch has its fair share of downside as the upcoming update is not compatible with the game's older version. "Local Wireless will not work if a player who has updated to 1.0.4 tries to battle a player with an older version." This means players who would like to have the new patch will have to leave the past version behind.
1.0.4 patch will also disable playback replay of fights saved using the older version of Super Smash Bros. Lastly, gamers would need some strong connectivity as the update requires online play.
Super Smash Bros. 3DS Patch has no set release date yet but because the game's Wii U version will be launched on Nov. 21, the game developer and distributor may want to fix bugs first. This could mean that the release of the awaited game update might be soon already.
