Four Sears branches in Ontario, Canada, were renovated for a better shopping experience in the past few months, and reopened on Friday morning to show their renewed systems to advance and improve customer service and overall store layout.
Sears Canada Inc. announced on Thursday that four Ontario venues in the areas of Barrie, Belleville, Newmarket, and the Lime Ridge mall in Hamilton received these renovations, as part of Sears's strategy to transformer the consumer's shopping experience in Canada, the corporation said in a press release.
Reported changes for each of the stores included wider aisles, less clutter and streamlined merchandise, said the press release, which would offer exciting new brands at lowered prices. The KidsRoom and BabyRoom, Jessica women's suit shops, Men's suit shops with easier by-size shopping and fitting areas sections in all four stores were expanded. Craftsman outdoor power equipment and a market-leading assortment of appliances and mattresses were also given the expansion treatment in the four venues, listed the press release.
"Our goal with the refreshed stores is to create a stage for product in an authoritative way to make it easier for our customers to shop for the items they expect from Sears and to demonstrate our leadership in the marketplace," Calvin McDonald, President and CEO, Sears Canada, stated for the press release. "Along with a renewed commitment to customer service, our new return policy and over 5,000 lower prices, our refreshed stores demonstrate another way that Sears is doing its best to do what's best for our customers."
The four Canadian Sears stores reopened the morning of Friday, May 25th, as part of ribbon-cutting ceremonies outside the shops, with the aid of local people of significance, at around 9:00am - 9:30am, listed the press release. Consumers were given an extra incentive to visit the stores on Friday morning, including gift cards ranging from $25 to $500 for the first 100 customers who arrived at each of the four stores, as well as the chance to win an additional $500 gift card during a designated time frame throughout the day.
