Ann Taylor will be opening its first two international stores in Toronto, Canada by fall 2012, the fashion brand company announced on Thursday, which will be the first of the company's global expansion.
The clothing and accessories line offers women, according to the press release issued on Thursday, with modern day yet timeless fashion, and has attracted famous faces into adorning its styles like U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama, actresses Angelina Jolie, Rachel McAdams, Kate Hudson, Diane Kruger, Hally Berry, Jessica Alba, Katie Holmes, Cameron Diaz, Eva Longoria, and model and reality television host Heidi Klum.
Brian Lynch, Ann Taylor Brand President said in the press release, "We are pleased by the strong awareness Ann Taylor already enjoys in Canada and look forward to offering our Canadian customers great fashion, quality and value in a new, exciting and aspirational shopping environment."
Ann Taylor's head designer Lisa Axelson, a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, created her fashions for the brand, according to the press release, for modern-day women running a multi-tasking and faceted life, ranging from feminine work attire to stylish casual looks.
The brand also sells outfits for petite-sized females, and has an assortment of shoes, jewelry, and fashion accessories at its 274 currently-opened stores across the United States. Retailers for the brand can be found especially in major U.S. cities like New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Miami.
Although the stores in Canada have yet to open, Ann Taylor already set up an official site for its first international venues, found at www.anntaylor.com/canada, though it currently offers nothing more than the announcement of the shops' opening and a mailing-list sign-up option.
"Toronto is the perfect location to open our first international stores. It is a beautiful city filled with modern, sophisticated women who lead busy lives, and we are excited to bring a trusted fashion destination that offers great style as well as incredible versatility," Axelson stated for the press release.
