Olive Garden Offers New Sample Platters

Olive Garden introduced two new Culinary Tours of Italy that provide guests with a wide variety of one-of-a-kind Italian flavors.

The Northern and Southern Tour of Italy are added to the Olive Garden menu from which guests can choose which dish they prefer. Olive Garden's chefs Flavio Tagliaferro and Paolo Lafata is the men behind the tour and the regions where they grew up.

Guests can enjoy the rich flavors of the new offers for a limited time. Starting at $15.49, each tour features a variety of three dishes.

The Northern Tour of Italy includes Asiago Tortelloni with Meat Sauce, Chicken Lombardy, and Fettuccine with Creamy Parmesan Portobello Sauce.

The Southern Tour of Italy, on the other hand, has its unique offers as well, including Mezzaluna Marinara, Spicy Pesto Shrimp, and Bucatini with Spicy Tomato Bacon Sauce.

Also, guests can still enjoy Olive Garden's classic favorite signature tour of Italy, that features Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagna Classico and Fettuccine Alfredo.

Olive Garden's executive vice president of marketing, Jay Spenchian, said, "The Classic Tour of Italy is one of our most popular entrees."

"We are excited to introduce two dishes inspired by the hometown flavors of our executive chefs and give our guests an opportunity to vote for which Tour will be added to the menu," said Spenchian.

For just $10, guests can also enjoy a selection Olive Garden's classic dish till Nov. 20, 2014. The offer is available from Monday through Thursday, and every entree is served with homemade soup or garden fresh salad and fresh baked garlic.

Olive Garden is a division of Darden Restaurants, Inc. and known to have the most leasing restaurants in the Italian dining concept. It has almost 800 and 96,000 employees, with more than $3.6 billions annual sales.
