The Americans Season 3 Premier Date, Spoiler, Casting News: Sin City Actress Julia Garner Joins FX Drama For An Interesting Role

The American Season 3 premier date isn't confirmed yet but it will return on January next year. In the meantime, the production team of the FX show are adding more actors for the new season as lead cast Philipp and Elizabeth Jennings, played by Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell, respectively, move on to a new journey with new missions and dangers. According to reports, one more character is set join the show and will be played by one of the fast-rising actresses in Hollywood.

In a post by the Hollywood Reporter, it is revealed that Sin City: A Dame to Kill For actress Julia Garner has been cast for The Americans Season 3. The entertainment website wrote:

"Julia Garner is joining FX's spy drama The Americans."

"The Sin City: A Dame to Kill actress will recur as Kimberly Breland, a young woman who unexpectedly - and dangerously - crosses paths with the Jennings (Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys). The series follows the KGB officer couple as they attempt to blend in as a suburban family in Washington D.C. in the 1980s."

Aside from Sin City, 20-year old Julia Garner is also known for her roles in Martha Marcy May Marlene and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. She's biggest project to date is the 2013 Sundance Film Festival-screened We Are What We Are wherein she played the lead role.

News of Julia Garner joining the Americans Season 3 came almost a month after the show announced that veteran actor Frank Langella has joined the show. According to the Entertainment Weekly, Langella will play Gabriel, "Philip and Elizabeth's previous KGB handler, who emerges from retirement to assume duties from Margo Martindale's Claudia."

The world of Philipp and Elizabeth is expanding, so expect more new characters to be introduced while waiting for The Americans Season 3 premier date or trailer.
