In the last Gotham TV series episode, young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) finally showed some signs that he has the capability to become the crusader in cape. After meeting a bully at school, his first day there since his parents died, Bruce initially folded to him. However, when he was encouraged by Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) to get back at the bully named Tommy Elliot, Bruce ambushed his bully at his own doorstep by punching him in the face repeatedly. Bruce and Alfred fled the scene triumphantly.
Although Bruce had the last laugh in that episode, Tommy Elliot might return to play the young version of another Batman supervillain. Pertwee said in October that Hush will come to Gotham in the form of Easter eggs in some episodes.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Pertwee teased that "Tommy Elliot, the kid who picks on Bruce, only to get beat up later on, "might turn out to be a big Easter egg."
Hush's alter ego is Tommy Elliot, so that's one ultimate giveaway. However, the Fox show is yet to confirm if that kid will return in upcoming episodes.
In the comics, Bruce and Tommy are close friends growing up. However, Tommy was a bit unbalanced with the fact that he lives with abusive parents. Hush is someone who could level with Batman in almost all departments. He is a master surgeon, a strategist and tactician, athlete, marksman and a genius level intellect.
Arrival of Tommy Elliot/Hush was first revealed in a Gotham TV series spoiler from IGN who interviewed producer Danny Cannon.
Aside from Tommy Elliot, another character set to grace Gotham is Leslie Thompkins who will be played by Homeland alum Morena Baccarin. According to Ben McKenzie, who plays main protagonist Jim Gordon, Thompkins will be his character's love interest.
"They just hired Morena Baccarin on Gotham to play my love interest, Dr. Leslie Thompkins, and she said, 'Hey, I did an episode of The O.C.!' and I was like, 'What!?'" McKenzie told the Daily Beast while talking about some the OC characters he was not aware he worked with.
