People saw Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) travel to Central City to visit the Flash/Barry Allen. The two shared a kiss at the end of that episode of the Flash series. In Starling City, Felicity has a history with Oliver Queen/Arrow (played by Stephen Amell). Oliver even asked her out in the first episode of the new season, and then shared a kis. In Arrow Season 3, it is not just that Oliver who has his eyes on Felicity, even newcomer Roy Palmer (Brandon Routh). In fact, in the next episode, she and Roy are going to share their first kiss.
The bubbly computer geek has been kissing superheroes left and right and that worries Olicity, the term used by fans to identify the Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak ship.
In an interview with E! Online, Arrow Season 3 executive producer Marc Guggeinheim addressed this worry that by Olicity fans feel.
"Well, I've never known Olicity fans to not be worried! There are two types of Olicity fans. There are the ones who want them to be married with a kid or two or three in the next episode, and then there are the ones who favor the slow burn, on-again/off-again, one step forward two steps back kind of relationship," said Guggenheim during the interview held one night before the airing of Arrow Season 3 Episode 6 titled "Guilty."
"Certainly the fact that we've released a promo showing Ray Palmer kissing Felicity suggests that the approach we're taking is very much the latter."
Aside from Olicity, Guggenheim also talked about old characters possibly rejoining Arrow Season 3. He revealed that two of the most favorite characters in the earlier seasons will return but not in the way that fans wanted them to see. These characters are Colin Donnell's Tommy Merlyn who died in Arrow Season 1 finale and Caity Lotz's Sarah Lance who was killed in the first episode of Arrow's third season.
"We love Colin Donnell and we love having him on the show. I was on set for his scene at the end of season one and the second we wrapped him, I said to him, "I'm so glad we do flashbacks on this show!" So yes, you have not seen the last of Tommy Merlyn," he told E! Online.
"Yeah - we actually know when we'll be seeing Caity Lotz again, but it's a little down the road. We have a really clear plan as to when it's going to happen," Guggenheim said in a separated interview with TV Line.
