Hampton Hotels launched "TREATS," a new design concept that features a walk-in or walk-up shop filled with snacks, local merchandise, toiletries, beverages available for purchase.
The concept includes two separate designs; a walk-up solution for hotels without an existing food and beverage retail offering and a walk-in solution for hotels with an existing Suite Shop space.
Both options will be located conveniently within the lobby of each hotel.
"We believe Hampton TREATS will be a strong addition to our collection of successful amenities at Hampton hotels in North America," said Phil Cordell, global head, focused service and Hampton brand management, Hilton Worldwide.
"The variety of F&B options and inclusion of unique local merchandise will bring Hampton Hotels to the next level in terms of what we offer for our guests, and will provide our owners another strategic profit center at each hotel."
The walk-in store will be added to the current shop space near the front desk, and will feature a graphic mural that will add flair and elegance to the store. The store is filled with natural wood-toned shelves with local merchandise.
Meanwhile, for hotels without an existing food and beverage store, a walk-up TREATS concept will be implemented within Hampton's signature Perfect Mix Lobby.
One or two shelves filled with items will line walls within the lobby for a people constantly on the go.
With the new walk-up TREATS concept, visitors will have the convenience similar to dollar stores, but with a birth and fresh atmosphere that Hampton Hotels uniquely provide.
TREATS started out as a concept and has been tested for a year now, with a local single-serve beer proving to be a best seller making the brand a success.
Coming 2015, all new Hampton Hotels will feature TREATS, while existing hotels will welcome the concept "on a rolling basis."
