Menchie's, North America's largest self-serve frozen yogurt franchise, celebrated Veterans Day by giving away free six ounce cup of frozen yogurt to all active duty and veteran military members on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Veterans and active duty military personnel who passed by Menchie's got a sweet treat of varying rotating yogurt flavors plus delicious toppings as a reward for their bravery and selflessness.

Amit Kleinberger, Menchie's CEO and former sergeant in the armed forces wanted to return the favor to those who have tirelessly served to protect the country.

"As a veteran myself, I am endlessly thankful for those who volunteer to dedicate themselves to protecting others," said Amit Kleinberger, CEO of Menchie's.

"These courageous members of our community deserve much more than a day of appreciation and we work diligently to ensure the success of our veteran franchisees. The Veterans Day offer is just one of the many ways we continue to support veterans and active duty service members," Kleinberger added.

Aside from handing out free yogurt on Veterans Day, , Menchie's also bolsters the cause by working with IFA Vet-Fran, an organization committed to helping veterans join the civilian workforce through franchising.

Menchie's also supports veterans by offering a significant franchise fee discount for veterans and has already given almost a quarter of a million dollars in discounts of franchise fees as of the moment.
