In lieu of Veterans Day and to honor those who have served the country, Days Inn Hotel is giving away seven getaways to veterans and active service members in the United States. Aside from that, the hotel will also be donating over one million Wnydham Rewards points to Fisher House and its Hotels for Heroes Program.
Starting from Veterans Day, Nov. 11 through Dec. 30, Days Inn will be holding the "My Hero" contest wherein friends and relatives of veterans can enter a veteran at the company's web site, www.daysinn.com/heroes for a chance to get a dream vacation.
Guests who join the contest will share a veteran's story and include a photo.
Each week until the end of contest on Dec. 30, the hotel will pick one lucky veteran with a unique and inspiring story will receive a grandiose six night, seven day stay at the Armed Forces Vacation Club resort or U.S. or Canadian Days Inn Hotel of their choice. They will also get $1,000 Wyndham Rewards Prepaid Visa card on top of that.
"We greatly appreciate what our service women and men do for us every day and we are proud to honor them in every way we can," said Clyde Guinn, Days Inn brand president.
"We're delighted to give these heroes something in return for their generosity and courage and we are excited to hear and share their stories."
In coordination with the contest, through the end of the year, Days Inn will be giving away 10 Wyndham Rewards points - up to one million points - to Hotels for Heroes for every hotel reservation made at www.daysinn.com.
"Hotels for Heroes" is a program developed by the Fisher House Foundation that provides hotel rooms to the families of injured, wounded, and ill military service members who are undergoing treatment at authorized medical centers.
