If you are a certified tech-geek, you are surely having a hard-time choosing the device that you should get. This is because there are tons of high-end handsets that are present in the market. One of which is the latest phablet from the Korea-based tech giant, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.
Also, Japan has its own name in the smartphone map with the recently released Sony Xperia Z3 that are coming in the U.S. market this month. Surprisingly, Sony is reportedly now cooking a new flagship device set for early 2015 release. This is the rumored Xperia Z4, Android Origin reported.
Rumors said the upcoming flagship smartphone from Sony will be an improved version of its predecessor. If reports about its early 2015 release appear to be true, Xperia Z4 will more likely go into a confrontation with Samsung's latest Galaxy Note Edge. So here is a brief comparison between Z4's rumored specs and Note Edge's features.
The Fuse Joplin reported Sony Xperia Z4 will be sporting a bigger and better display compared to its predecessor, which is a QHD 5.5-inch screen with 2560 x 1440 pixels. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, on the other hand, features a Super AMOLED 5.6-inch display with 2560 x 1600 resolution, GSM Arena reported. This means Note Edge is superior in both display size and resolution. It is also important to note than Galaxy Note Edge features a unique curved edge with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Note Edge maybe bigger but Xperia Z4 will reportedly have a more powerful chipset and processor. Sony is set to equip its upcoming smartphone with 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core clocked at 2.8GHz while Samsung's odd phablet is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7 GHz.
Sony Xperia Z4 will also have a bigger 4GB RAM while Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has 3GB RAM. In terms of internal storage, Z4 is rumored to sport the same 32GB capacity of Z3 while Note Edge has 32GB and 64GB variants. On the other hand, both smartphones have multi SD card that allows user to upgrade the phones' memory up to 128 GB.
There are no definite news yet about Sony Xperia Z4's camera but it can be noted that its predecessor already have a superior 20.7 MP main snapper compared to Galaxy Noted Edge's 16 MP rear-facing camera. Because it will be launched next year, Z4 will more likely have the Android Lollipop 5.0 operating system while Note Edge still has the Android Kitkat 4.4 operating system.
Both phones feature NFC, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity and are expected to have water and dust resistant features.
