T.G.I. Friday's is offering free lunch to veterans and active duty military personnel across the United States on Veterans Day, the company announced in a press release.
"We are extremely proud of and indebted to our veterans for all they have done for our country. TGI Fridays is pleased to continue a tradition of honoring and celebrating U.S. military personnel with a free lunch," Chief Marketing Officer Brian Gies said in the press release.
"This is our way to express our gratitude to those who serve our country every day. We're hoping this gesture will encourage veterans and active military personnel to relax and enjoy a great meal on us."
The offer runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday and is valid on select items and a valid U.S. military identification card is required.
The company began the tradition in 2011, much later than many other casual dining franchises around the country.
Other franchises with similar Veterans Day offers include Applebees, Chilis and California Pizza Kitchen.
T.G.I. Friday's was founded in 1965 in New York City and is owned by the Sentinel Capital Partners and TriArtisan Capital Partners.
