After announcing that there will be no "Need for Speed" release this year, EA games reportedly posted a photo in a social media that can be the title of the new chapter of the car racing game.
Electronic Arts Incorporated, "Need for Speed" franchise's publisher and marketer, recently confirmed that a new mobile game from the well-known video game franchise is currently on the works.
A spokesperson of the American developer and distributor of games said, "We're proud and excited to be given the opportunity to partner with Ken Block on an upcoming mobile game project." The EA Games personnel also said "We've been anticipating seeing this car in action for Gymkhana 7 and sharing more."
EA games spokesperson assured more details of the upcoming "Need for Speed No Limits" will be released soon. Fans of the racing video game need not to wait for details as Ken Block already posted a photo of the latest vehicle.
In his Facebook account, the rally driver posted "retro-modern all-wheel drive Gymkhana Seven Ford Mustang" with the "Need for Speed No Limits" logo. This sparks speculation that the new mobile game from the franchise will bear the "No Limits" title.
No further details have been released about the new "Need for Speed No Limits."
It can be recalled that EA Games has recently announced the one year hiatus of Ghost Game, "Need for Speed" developer. Likewise, the game distributor and marketer said for the first time after its release back in 2001, there will be no Need for Speed for the year 2014.
The absence of "Need for Speed" this year is a highly unlikely event as fans have been used to the game's annual releases. But EA Games is said to give Ghost Games 'extended development window' for the next Need for Speed game that will be launch next year.
Ghost Games chief Marcus Nilsson, on the other hand, made a statement that the new Need for Speed game will be based on the fans requests. "We are already deep in development on our next game and want to make this promise to you: we will listen to you," he said.
Nilsson said "Need for Speed" gamers will have the game that they deserve 'but to do that will take us some time'. To be able to gauge their gamers', he encourage players to interact with them and voice out their opinions and hopes for the upcoming "Need for Speed" video game.
"We want your input on future gameplay and features we know you're passionate about. We will keep innovating, always making sure to continue the celebration of cars and the joy they bring," he added. The game developer chief also said the new "Need for Speed 2015" will be 'highly innovative' and will be extremely different compared to its predecessors.
