Samsung and Apple can be considered the Muhammed Ali and Joe Frazier of the tech industry. Samsung's latest Nook tablet, set to be launched in Barnes and Nobles, will feature a much bigger screen 10.1-inch compared to Apple's 7.9-inch display. The latest iPad mini 3, on the other hand, is superior in terms of its resolution compared to Tab 4 Nook at 1536 x 2048 pixels with 324ppi density versus 1280 x 800 pixel with 216 ppi.
The Tab 4 Nook, with Android Kitkat 4.4, is powered by the better processor, quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon clocked at 1.2 GHz, compared to iOS 8.1 powered Mini 3 with Dual-core 1.3 GHz Cyclone Apple A7 processor. Samsung tab also has a bigger 1.5GB RAM compared to Apple iPad's 1GB. The new Nook tablet is also better in terms of storage because it support microSD slot which new iPad has none.
Galaxy Tab 4 Nook's wider memory is just perfect for it offers more applications compared to Mini 3. Consumers who would purchase the new tablet will get $200 worth of free content which will include TV shows, magazines, and books.
On the other hand, Apple iPad Mini 3 wins in terms of camera. It is because it features 5MP main snapper and 1.2MP front cam which is better compared to Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook's 3MP rear camera and 1.3MP selfie snapper.
