Uptown Cheapskate, a new fashion resale store in Chanlder owned by local businessmen Brenda Spezzacatena and Molly Varner, will celebrate its grand opening on Friday, November 7.
The new resale store located at 3454 W Chandler Blvd. is not a typical and traditional thrift store. It offers shoppers to pay cash for their used clothes, shoes, accessories, and other apparel items. They resell these at huge discounted prices at local uptown.
The new trendy teen and young adult fashion reseller will have their VIP grand opening on Thursday, November 6 at 4 p.m. The VIP night is an exclusive preview for VIP customers who have sold things to the store during the open-to-buy period.
These consumers have the opportunity to get the first pick for trendy secondhand clothing, shoes, etc. An additional privilege is to enjoy the food from the famous food truck franchise, The Grilled Cheese Truck.
Customers that will celebrate with the opening day of the Uptown Cheapskate will enjoy freebies, giveaways, and the event's program. Waffle Crush will be giving away free waffles to the first 50 shoppers.
There will be a special guest appearance from Laura Walsh, an Arizona native country-singer who appears as a contender from The Voice. Her performance will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., to be followed by a fashion presentation of the Flict -House of Hair salon and HoneyBaked Ham, at 7 p.m.
The day after the grand opening, Nov. 8, the resale store will be giving various prizes for their shoppers through Instagram. Prizes include a $150 shopping spree on their store. Customers also have the chance to win the grand prize, which is a new 16GB iPhone 6. Uptown Cheapskate will announce the winner at 5 p.m.
