The UK-based creator of free-to-play social network games is set to release yet another crazy but relaxing game. Amid the reign of action-packed shooting and RPG games, player can have a break with the upcoming "I Am Bread" video game.
Bossa Studious known for their equally humorous and light "Surgeon Simulator," has again created an odd but surprisingly humorous game. "I Am Bread" is a refreshing game that can give off some positive aura in the midst of the brutal and somehow gross game trend. With its quirky and hilarious plot, this upcoming game can be an effective stress reliever for any player.
Though the studious kept mum on the game's release date, it has already released a short teaser that captivated the gamers and netizens as well, as reported by PC Gamer. The 45-second video released in YouTube showed a slice of bread that struggles to get toasted.
The video allowed the anticipating gamers a sneak peek to the game with 'an emotionally fraught tale of one slice's quest to become toasted'. Although the video is short, it gave enough overview on how the game will be played.
The player will be able to control the four corners of the slice of bread and its goal is to toast the bread in line with the game's description; "The beautiful story of one slice of bread's epic and emotional journey as it embarks upon a quest to become toasted."
Game Rant hinted that the game may be simple at first but it is still not a no-brainer game. As the creator of Surgeon Simulator, packed with crazy controls, Bossa Studios has made toasting a slice of bread as complicated as possible. As the player can only control the four sides of the slice, one should circumnavigate in order to do the task.
Based on the teaser that showed the slice of bread in a toilet bowl, it seems the main playable 'bread' is not a kitchen mainstay. It will also be hard to control the four edges of the slice because knowing Bossa, I Am Bread is surely up for crazy controls that will 'undoubtedly make for an occasionally frustrating but consistently amusing gameplay experience'.
The upcoming "I Am Bread" is not just a toasting game because the final toasted bread will be judge in terms of edibility and deliciousness. Edibility will somehow be measure on how long and how hard the slice of bread's journey towards being toasted. Deliciousness, on the other hand, is a bit easier to meet because taste boosters like jams, trailers, corn flakes and other treats are scattered around the house.
If you are one of those who want a break from shooting and action games, keep your ears open for the upcoming "I Am Bread."
