The "Strain: Night Eternal" television series is based on a novel trilogy about vampires and "Strain Season 2" is said to be based on the final novel of the trilogy.
"Strain Season 2" will focused on the origins of the vampire plague from the modern times to ancient Rome and finally through prehistoric times.
For those who are eager to watch "Strain Season 2," you will have to wait a bit since the show will return probably in 2015. That is a long wait. Fortunately, we have some spoilers for fans who like to know how the story in the second installment will shape up.
In the last season of "Strain," the humans were unable to kill a badly injured Master. Meanwhile, Gus (Miguel Gomez) must decide if he wants to work with a group of vampires called the Ancients.
Dr. Elph Goodweather (Corey Stoll) decided not to kill his wife, Kelly Goodweather (Natalie Brown) who had become a vampire.
One of the "Strain" casts has decided to spill some beans on the upcoming "Strain Season 2." Mia Maestro plays the character of Dr. Nora Martinez in the "Strain" series. She said Elph's decision not to kill his vampire wife will greatly affect the vampire hunters. She commented, "I think that's going to divide the group definitely."
In the second season of "Strain" there will be conflict between Nora and Elph. Nora killed her own mother who turned into a vampire to save human lives. She may have trouble understanding why Elph would not do the same.
The situation grows from bad to worse. As a result of Elph's inability to kill Kelly, the Master can now turned the situation to his advantage. With Kelly now part of vampire minions, he only needs to take Elph's son, Zach away from him in order to break him psychologically and emotionally. "Strain Season 2" will be a very challenging time for Dr. Goodweather with his wife a vampire and members of his group questioning his ability to lead. Not to mentioned that the son is being hunted by the Master and by his own mother.
