Did Ellen DeGeneres just prove that she's the most powerful woman on television?
When the TV show host introduced Nick The Gardener on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' nobody thought that he'd get a movie gig out of it. His main job on the show was to show off his abs to a screaming audience.
Considering this, DeGeneres figured that he could be a great addition to Channing Tatum's new movie, 'Magic Mike XXL.'
After finding out that Matthew McConaughey would not be returning for the upcoming sequel, the acclaimed host called up Warner Bros President Greg Silverman to personally secure an audition for Nick. He was promptly sent running to Silverman's office during the show's break.
It looks like DeGeneres has a good eye for abs since Channing Tatum himself called her up in the middle of one episode (while Nick was picking apples) to offer Nick a spot in the 'Magic Mike' sequel.
"After careful inspection of your ab region, we have deducted that we need you in 'Magic Mike XXL,'" the '22 Jump Street' star told him.
The 24-year-old was too speechless to talk to Tatum after that. Watch the video here.
Nick The Gardener's real name is actually Billy Reilich and he isn't an actual gardener. In fact, his past job doesn't have anything to do with plants. He was actually a basketball coach before appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres show with his comedy singing group, Cream Pies.
The group which he formed with his high school buddies earned an interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show after their hilarious music video caught the host's attention. It was Reilich's abs, however, that got the most attention. He's been taking his shirt off for Ellen DeGeneres' viewers ever since.
Do you think Billy Reilich better known as Nick The Gardener will make an awesome extra on 'Magic Mike XXL?'
