As she stays for 14 more days at Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena, California under section 5150 of the California Welfare and Institutions Code, troubled star Amanda Bynes says she feels betrayed by her parents following her involuntary hospitalization and psychiatric hold. Bynes is having a hard time receiving the help she needs and adapting again to treatments, according to a report by Radar.
The What A Girl Wants actress is said to be angry at her parents for "conspiring" with Britney Spears' ex-manager Sam Lufti, for her to be taken into a mental facility. TMZ reported that Bynes feels her relationship with her parents has been "destroyed forever."
Bynes was put under a 5150 psychiatric hold last Friday, which enables people with mental disorder and are under the category of being a threat to others and to themselves, be taken in against their will. It happened shortly after her shocking tweets against her father whom she accused of physically and sexually abusing her, as well as her recent odd behavior and alleged shoplifting in one of the boutiques in Upper East Side, New York. It was also evident in her twitter account that she has been in contact with Lufti, who convinced her to fly to Los Angeles to sue her parents (without her knowing that it was just a strategy for her to be contained). She soon found her parents and lawyer already expecting her when she arrived at the hospital, which she thought was a Pasadena Law Office, from London Hotel that same day.
The original 72-hour hold was extended to fourteen days in order for Bynes' parents to be able to go to court to gain conservatorship, although they have not publicly signified that they will ask for legal control of their daughter. As TMZ first reported, Bynes' parents would most likely get the conservatorship, but given their daughter's anger towards them for tricking her into being placed in yet another mental facility, they should expect that managing their troubled daughter will be very challenging.
