JK Rowling, author of the "Harry Potter" series announces the news, production details, release date and spoilers for the upcoming adaptation of her 2001 book "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."
The 49-year-old author of the internationally acclaimed "Harry Potter" series continues to oblige "Harry Potter" fans with her books on magic, even after the success of the "Harry Potter" movies. Initially writing only for her children like the legendary author JRR Tolkien, her stories received critical acclaim.
Stephen King described the "Harry Potter" series as "a feat of which only a superior imagination is capable. Rowling's punning, one-eyebrow-cocked sense of humor is remarkable. [Harry Potter] will indeed stand time's test and wind up on a shelf where only the best are kept; I think Harry will take his place with Alice, Huck, Frodo and Dorothy and this is one series not just for the decade, but for the ages."
According to reports, Warner Bros. approached Rowling for the movie adaptation of the 2001 book "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."
In a report by SBS, JK Rowling initially was iffy about the production and replied saying, "I thought it was a fun idea, but the idea of seeing Newt Scaramander, the supposed author of Fantastic Beasts, realized by another writer was difficult. Having lived for so long in my fictional universe, I feel very protective of it."
The book is among the many textbooks that Harry Potter has used during his time in Hogwarts. "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is described by Barnes and Noble as "an A to Z listing of magical beasts - those you've heard of and some new ones, and their classifications. It's on the required book list for all Hogwarts students and a much-revered text by Hagrid."
Recently however, JK Rowling news revealed that "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will be on the big screen, as she will be taking on screenwriting. JK Rowling news reveals that the "Harry Potter" spin-off titled "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" trilogy release date has been set for 2016, 2018, and 2020.
