Ezra Miller is cast as the lead in the live action film adaptation of The Flash which is set to be released in 2018. Warner Bros. has finally found their Flash for their upcoming film.
According to reports by The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. studio has signed up Perks of Being a Wallflower actor Ezra Miller as the Crimson Comet for its 2018 film.
The 22-year-old is definitely an offbeat choice to wear the scarlet suit of the superhero.
The story was first created by DC Comics in 1940. In the story, Barry Allen is a Central City police scientist who can move, think, and react at light speeds after being washed by electrified chemicals.
Ezra Matthew Miller is an American actor. He played the character of Vincent Rizzo Jr. in the film City Island in 2009, Elliot Hellman in 2011 film Another Happy Day, and Kevin in We Need to Talk About Kevin in 2011. The film became a sensation in the Cannes Film Festival which won critical acclaim.
In 2012, he starred in the teen drama The Perks of Being a Wallflower co-starring Logan Lerman and Emma Watson. Miller has also signed on to play Léon Dupuis in Sophie Barthes' adaptation of the Gustave Flaubert novel Madame Bovary.
Miller also appeared in Showtime's comedy series Californication as Damien and in Royal Pains as Tucker Bryant for a couple of seasons.
Miller is also musically inclined as he is a drummer as well as a singer and keyboardist in a Manhattan, New York-based band called Sons of an Illustrious Father.
Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Chief Executive Officer Kevin Tsujihara has also officially announced a slew of DC Comic-style films during Wednesday's Time Warner investors meeting conducted in Burbank. According to the CEO, the slate of flicks include Suicide Squad (2016), Wonder Woman (2017), Justice League Part One (2017), Aquaman (2018), Shazam (2019), Justice League Part Two (2019), Cyborg (2020) and Green Lantern (2020).
