The Flash Series News: Candice Patton On Felicity Smoak's Arrival At The Show - 'The Last Thing We Need Is Women On TV Hating Each Other'

| By

The Flash series continues its hot start after it aired its second episode. According to Fast National rating, the new CW Network series' second episode, titled The Fastest Man Alive, was watched by an estimated 4.15 million viewers. It even tied with direct rival Agents of SHIELD in the demo. Things are looking good for Grant Gustin's Allen and expect it to become even better once the crossover episode with Arrow takes place. In that episode, several characters from Starling City will meet Allen and his crew. One of which is Felicity Smoak who is played by Emily Bett Rickards.

According to earlier the Flash series spoilers, the crossover will happen on the eight episode of the show. If you can remember, Felicity had a little flirtation with Barry when the latter came to the headquarters of Stephen Amell's Arrow. Those short-lived romantic sparks are expected to continue on the Flash Arrow crossover episode. In fact, Felicity and Barry Allen will share a kiss. How does Candice Patton, who plays Barry's love interest Iris West, feels about this?

For Patton, the Flash Arrow crossover episode won't lead to a cat fight between Iris and Felicity. She thinks both shows don't need this kind of element anymore.

"We are not going to be at each other's throats, and I'm really thrilled about that," she told TheWrap. "The last thing we need is women on TV hating each other."

Patton also has some sweet words for their upcoming visitor.

"Felicity is such a beloved character and I think in the comic books Iris is such a beloved character, and I'm very protective about that on our show," Patton continued. "I want Iris to continue to be a lovable character. It only makes sense to me that when Iris and Felicity meet, there's nothing but kindness."
