Funny man Zack Galifianakis reveals radical weight loss as he appears on the red carpet for the screening of his new movie, "Birdman". Naturally, the spotlight turned towards the almost-unrecognizable "Hangover" star, see how he responds to the weight-related questions.
The 45-year-old actor gained recognition in his portrayal of Alan Garner in the box office hit "The Hangover". The trilogy brought in not only millions of dollars, but also millions of fans for the comedian.
Zack Galifianakis began his career as a writer for Saturday Night Live but didn't stay there long. He also worked on "Comedy Central Presents" in 2001. As he gained popularity in "The Hangover" trilogy, he also gained appreciation from MTV viewers as he won the Best Comedic Performance in the movie.
Apart from "The Hangover," Zack Galifianakis also appeared in "Dinner for Schmucks", "Due Date" and "It's Kind of a Funny Story" in 2010. His most recent film is the black comedy, "Birdman" out in theaters in a couple of days.
"Birdman" is about a Riggan Thomson, a washed-up actor who was famous for playing superhero roles in movies. He decides to return to the limelight by appearing in a play, and pressure begins to heat up as he tried to establish his career and regain his family. Cast includes Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, Andrea Riseborough, Amy Ryan, Emma Stone and Naomi Watts.
During the screening of "Birdman", cast members graced the red carpet flocked by the press. A bearded man appears, silently takes his place for the photo-op and startles everybody. Wearing a dark gray suit, and thinner than usual, is Zack Galifianakis appearing in a drastic weight loss.
Zack Galifianakis' radical weight loss had the media into a frenzy, with reporters clamouring to hear more about the drastic slimming down.
E! News asked Zack Galifianakis about his weight loss in which the actor replies, "No, I'm just... I'm dying." The reporter then comments, "But you look good. That suits you very well," as she points towards his suit. To which Zack Galifianakis replies, "Thank you, it's a ladies' [size] 50."
