The 'Rich Kids Of Tehran' Are Back On Instagram; Defends Their Posts On The Social Media Not An Exhibition Of Wealth

It was reported that the 'Rich Kids Of Tehran' official Instagram account was taken down by Iranians authorities.

"This page has currently been shut down to the the high amount of false publicity." ,read on its official instagram account according to a report in AFP by weblognews.ir.

The 'Rich Kid Of Tehran' Instagram account reveals the luxurious life style of the elites in Tehran.

The photos show girls were clad in bikinis, they party and drink alcohol, and they drive their own luxury cars.

Drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited in this Islamic Republic, and women should dress modestly according to Islamic law.

According to AFP , Hafte-Sobh and Taadol newspapers took aim at "a class of young people who stubbornly and with the backup of their wealth, are having fun and live their own special way of life, and the Iranian system cannot touch them,"

'The Rich Kids Of Tehran' had gained attention internationally, and now they're back on Instagram in defense of their exhibition of wealth.

They said: "We have changed the way the world looks at us. People don't use camels for transportation but some choose to use 'Italian and German horses.' "We did not have any bad intentions and we are not against anyone. We wanted to show the luxurious side of Tehran to the world. Only thing we did was to post some pictures on Instagram. "We love our country and like any other country we have rich and we have less fortunate people. Some rich people in Iran come from wealthy families who have been rich for generations. Others simply made their wealth by working hard."

"Although the page is called richkidsoftehran. Some of the pictures used were taken outside of Iran by Tehranis. Pictures of the drink bottles and bikinis were not taken in Iran. "All of the young people featured in this account respect the government rules," they added

According to Sara, a young IT consultant in Iran reported by The Times: "Everyone knows these guys. Most of them have fathers who are untouchable. "If they get in trouble it will disappear. Others are not so lucky."
