'Grimm' season 4 will premiere on October 24 and fans are already anticipating Nick Burkhardt's (David Guintoli) fate without his Wesen-seeing ability.
The last episode left viewers in a state of distress. Aside from Nick losing his Grimm powers, Captain Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz) was also left fighting for his life. Not to mention Adalind (Claire Coffee) turning bad again.
Theresa "Trubel" Rubel (Jacqueline Toboni) - introduced in the last season as the troubled young Grimm that Nick took in - will be helping him "see" Wesens for the time being while they figure out how to get his ability back.
Executive producer David Greenwal did warn fans however, that Nick will not only suffer from losing his abilities, he also has to deal with an identity crisis.
Unlike the zombie issue last season, Nick would have to face this problem for more than one episode. Fans don't have to worry though; he won't be replaced by another Grimm. Nick will get his powers back in 'Grimm' season 4 but when he does, he will have more questions about his identity than before.
"This will go on longer than the zombie thing," the EP shared. "But not just interminably. Long enough to really mine the issues around it."
According to Christian Today, something big will happen on the NBC show's season four premiere.
'Franklin and Bash' actress Toni Trucks will be joining the supernatural detective series as the tough Deputy Janelle Farris for the first episode.
Deputy Farris will ask for Nick's help for a suspicious highway crime scene. These crimes will eventually lead him to a salvage warehouse owner (Erick Avari from 'Warehouse 13'), who is most likely not going to be human.
Unlike in the past, however, this one will be tougher on Nick. With his Grimm powers gone, he will be forced to work like a normal cop. He will also have to ask for help from Trubel.
Previous reports introduced the new batch of Wesens to the public and one of them is an octopus-like creature that uses its testicles to suck out a person's memories.
With 'Grimm' season 4's first episode titled "Thanks to Memories," it looks like this Wesen will be making its appearance very soon. Hopefully, Nick, Trubel, Hank, and Monroe will be able to work together to stop Octoman from committing any more crimes.
