X-files actress Gillian Anderson has participated in a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) last October 12, Sunday. During that time, the 46-year-old actress was asked about the the upcoming all-female reboot of Ghostbusters.
Anderson was apparently not aware of Paul Feig's planned sequel. After some research, she responded, "OH MY GOD, I just looked it up online. Paul Feig, cast me now! Start a Twitter petition! I'm free!!!!! I'm free I'm free and I'm funny, goddamnit!"
It was just announced last week that Bridemaids director Paul Feig was collaborating with Parks and Recreation's Katie Dippold on the latest Ghostbusters film which will star women who will be doing the paranormal hunting.
The ecstatic actress also said she wanted to appear in an episode of Kumail Nanjiani's podcast The X-Files Files. The star happily quipped, "I wanna do it! I just heard about this yesterday and it sounds awesome."
When she was asked by a fan whether there had been any recent progress on a third X-Files movie, she replied, "Uh....uh... uh.... Sorta kinda. Keep your ears to the ground." She is known for her role as Agent Dana Scully in The X-Files TV show and movies.

Anderson has received five Primetime Emmy Awards nominations, winning one. She also received five Golden Globe Awards nominations, winning one as well.
