Daniel Radcliffe Gay: ‘Horns’ Star Included In “Gay List Of Shame!” Middle Eastern Station Apologizes For Blunder!

| By

His support for LGBT rights as well as his roles gay-themed movies have kept Daniel Radcliffe's gay issue alive all these years.

The rumor has been talked about so much that the British superstar decided to stop Googling himself for mental preservation.

"It f-s you up. You shouldn't be on there if you're an actor," he told The Guardian in a past interview. "There's a line in The Thick Of It - Googling yourself is like opening the door to a room full of people telling you how s- you are - and it's exactly that."

He isn't too bothered by it, however. In fact, he thinks being speculated as homosexual is one measure of popularity.

According to the actor, "If people are speculating about your sexuality, then you're doing OK."

He's quite happy though that people's curiosity for his love life overcame questions about his gender.

The keyword 'Daniel Radcliffe girlfriend' has taken the top spot for the 'What If' actor since he announced his relationship with 'Kill Your Darlings' co-star Erin Darke.

"I'll take that, as these things go. I'm pleased my girlfriend comes up before alcoholic or gay," the 'Harry Potter' alum said.

Recently, however, Daniel Radcliffe's gay rumors have become a hot topic once again when a Middle Eastern TV station published an "inaccurate" and "disrespectful" article that "outed" him as well as several other Hollywood stars in September.

A segment in the Middle Eastern Broadcasting Center (MBC), 'Scoop With Raya,' published the "gay list of shame" which included Cameron Diaz and Lindsay Lohan as well as openly gay personalities such as actress Jodie Foster, singer Ricky Martin, 'How I Met Your Mother' star Neil Patrick Harris and TV host Ellen DeGeneres.

The "gay list of shame" article also claimed that Elton John wore a dress during his wedding to partner David Furnish earlier this year.

After being criticized by netizens, the broadcast station apologized for calling Daniel Radcliffe gay as well as all the other celebrities included in the list. MBC claimed that a junior editor had failed to properly check facts as well as plagiarized an already published article online.

According to the International Business Times, the station said, "MBC.net apologises from its readers and the named celebrities, for the article that was published earlier on the scoop section of the site, www.mb.net/scoop, and that is clearly not related to neither [sic] the presenter of the show 'Scoop with Raya', Raya Abirached, nor the show itself."

No comments have been released by the celebrities mentioned in the article.
