Huawei Ascend Mate 7 VS Samsung Galaxy Note 4: both offers faster performannce compared to other phablets, but which is a better choice?
Last month new phablets were unveiled at the IFA.
The Samsung Galaxy Note was first introduced in 2011 and it set the trend of larger screen phones and phablets.
Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, one of the largest gadget manufacturer, has finally unveiled its new flagship phone the Samsung Note 4 last month alongside with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge with a limited release.
On the said event, Huawei, a rising company in manufacturing smartphones, also unveiled its new flagship the Huawei Ascend Mate 7.
Let's take a closer look at the two phones that offers a variety of functional features.
Design/Screen
The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is a tough Android competitor is said to be an Android tough competitor. It features 6-inch screen which relatively large screen display, 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and has an 83% screen-body-ratio. The phablet is made up of 95% metal and will be available in three colors: Obsidian black, Moonlight silver, and Amber gold.
It also the world's first smartphone to.carry a JDI IPS- NEO with negative crystal display that allows an ultra- high contrast ratio and it claims to have a 15 percent lower power consumption.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 carries the faux leather back we've seen in the Note 3 with metal edges.
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 weighs 176g and 8.5mm thick It's a 5.7-inch 2560x1440-pixel Super AMOLED display makes it better t than its predecessor the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the screen is more responsive and has better viewing angles.
Camera
The Note 4 sports the same 16MP sensor found in the Galaxy S5 with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and 4K video recording at 30fps and a wide-angle 3.7MP front camera.
While the other sports a 13 megapixel camera with camera BSI sensor and LED flash. For the user's selfie need its front camera is at 5 megapixel and features a new panoramic effect.
Performance
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 first Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor to feature in a smartphone, clocked at 2.7GHz, Adreno 420 GPU graphics and supported by Android 4.4 KitKat.
The Ascend Mate 7 is also a powerful device like its rival, powered by an octa-core (1.8GHz A15 + 1.3GHz A7) Kirin 925 SoC with Mali T628 GPU. It runs the latest Android 4.4 Kitkat. There will be two variants: the 16GB variant will come with 2GB of RAM and the 32GB variant come with 3GB of RAM. Its external storage is expandable up to 32GB.
Features
Both devices offers a biometric fingerprint sensor with different functions on the phablets.
