It has a larger display with more accurate, brighter color, has a bunch of interesting software and interface features. While Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is basically just a larger version of the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. Samsung released this tablet in the month of April, this year.

The "10.5" in the Tab S' name actually refers to its display size, meaning the diagonal measures 10.5 inches; a quite a large tablet with the right specs in display. Same with Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, the "10.1" in the name of Tab 4 refers to its display size which is 10.1 inches. There are rumors that Samsung wasn't able to reach the buyer's expectations regarding Tab 4.

Regarding the design, Galaxy Tab S is somewhat the same to Samsung's leading smartphone: the Galaxy S5. This tablet is certainly thicker with 0.26 inches which gives the user a good grip. As for display, we see a Super AMOLED that comes with a pixel density of 288 pixels per inch. Even though Tab 4 is thinner and smaller than the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, it is actually heavier by 20 grams. While the display on the Tab 4 10.1 is slightly smaller than the one seen at its counterpart. The pixel density is also poorer than the one seen on the Tab S that has 149 pixels only per inch.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is powered by a processor called the "octa core" which is provided with 3072 MB of RAM to give the user a smooth and no hustle experience. And as for the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, the processor is just a "quad core" that is equipped with 1536 MB of RAM. The battery unit contained by the Tab 4 has a capacity of 6800 mAh compared to 7900 mAh of Tab S that can last up to 24 hours.

Regarding the rear-facing camera, Tab S comes with 8MP, CMOS image sensor, geo tagging, LED flash and autofocus, and the front-facing camera used for "selfies" has 2.1MP. The rear-facing camera of Tab 4 has 3MP only that is quite disappointing which doesn't even have a flash or autofocus. Though it shows 720p video shooting, still it is incomparable with Tab S' 1080p HD video shooting (30fps). The front-facing camera of Tab 4 has 1.3MP.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablet is available at the price of $436.00. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 can be bought in a much lower price of $317.99.
