The 39-year-old actress was named as Honorary Dame Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George by Queen Elizabeth II herself for the versatile actress' campaign to end sexual violence in areas of conflict according to CNN.
Her Majesty presented the 'Maleficent' star with the female equivalent of knighthood inside Buckingham Palace's 1844 Room as the actress' husband, Brad Pitt and her six children looked on with pride.
According to USA Today, Brad Pitt and their six children - Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne - "dressed up really smart."
Aside from being appointed as a UN High Commissioner for Refugees, she also worked with former British Foreign Secretary William Hague to create the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative.
The very busy actress, who had been shooting her comeback film with her new husband in Malta, took time off to meet with the Queen in England.
