After a year of positive reception, "Homefront: The Revolution" finally gets a release date. Delays attributed to publishing issues revealed.
"Homefront: The Revolution" is a first-person shooter game (single player and multiplayer), that was first published by THQ and developed by Kaos Studio and released as simply "Homefront" in 2013.
The game is about resistance movement fighting other foreign military of the Western United States. In 2013, the game was first released for Playstation3, Xbox360 and Microsoft Windows.
Crytek is the new developer of the game for the sequel. Rights of the game were sold by THQ after their bankruptcy. However, in July 2014, Crytek sold the franchise to their parent company Koch media declaring financial difficulties.
Upon the "Homefront: The Revolution" release date, the game will be published by Deep silver and developed by Deep Silver Dambuster. The planned released date for the game is in 2015 for OS X, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Xbox One and Playstation4.
The game will be an open-world type game where the player will need to collect parts inside the city to create and modify stronger weapons and tools. The game will also be having side missions. Another additional feature to the game is improved skill to upgrade weapons, this allows weapons to be changed to an LMG.
Upon the "Homefront: The Revolution" release date, gamers will encounter the protagonist Ethan Brady who will lead a resistance movement against the scientifically advance Greater Korea Republic. Greater Korea Republic plans to invade the US, as the Greater Korea Republic lost the western part of the country to the Americans.
Greater Korea Republic changes their plans and will raid the eastern part of the country instead, setting in Philadelphia and establishing their main base. The city will be in a demoralized environment and will be heavily secured by cops. They will be living in fear as they patrol numerous districts in Philadelphia.
