After twenty years since their split, Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. would like to catch up with former Sex and the City lead actress Sarah Jessica Parker.
As they say, old flames die hard. Downey Jr. admitted in The Howard Stern Show interview, "I've never been the kind of person to acknowledge what's going on with me at the time, and I'd try to make light of it, but sure, when you're with someone for seven years, 18 to our mid-20s, it's kind of a big deal,"
The candid star continued with regards to his plan to see his former girlfriend, "I'll make a point of trying to see her while I'm here. I'd like to," he continued on and talked about Matthew Broderick, Parker's husband, "I'll ask his permission. I just want to check in for a few minutes. I love Matthew Broderick."
Stern, known for his racy questions, asked Downey Jr, if he has ever pleasured himself to the thought of his ex, Parker. The 49-year-old Academy Award winner, known for his quirky, candid and cool manner replied, "No, I'd have to ask Matthew's permission."
After Downey Jr.'s reply, the Sherlock Holmes actor got a little serious and said, "First of all, I respect both of them so much, and now we have to get past this conversation. For any situation like this, I think enough time has to pass. You don't have to make a big deal of it when the time is right."
Before ending the show, Stern suggested that the Hollywood's highest paid actor in 2013 invite Broderick and Parker out to lunch. Downey Jr quipped, "I'd love to have him there. I'll bring Susan. Would you mind coming just to kind of mediate the whole thing? It would be a natural extension seeing as you're a part of the conversation."
Downey started dating actress Sarah Jessica Parker after meeting her on the set of Firstborn on 1984 and broke up in 1991 due to his drug addiction.
After a failed marriage with actress and singer Deborah Falconer in 2001, Downey had another chance of love. Two years after, he met producer Susan Levin who is an Executive Vice President of Production at Joel Silver's film company, Silver Pictures. Downey pushed through with the romance and they were married in 2005. They have a son named Exton Elian Downey, born on February 2012.
Currently, Levin and Downey are expecting their second child due in November.
