John Luke Robertson Of Duck Dynasty Engaged At 19

John Luke Robertson just celebrated his 19th birthday on a party last Saturday got engaged on the same night.

John Luke Robertson, known for his involvement in the reality television series, Duck Dynasty, is the eldest son of Willie and Korie and the grandson of family patriarch Phil Robertson.

John Luke attends Ouachita Christian School.

He proposed to Mary Kate McEacharn, his girlfriend who he started dating around March. According to John Luke's statement to E! News, "I am so excited to marry my best friend," John Luke continued, "I know my parents married young as well, and they have always been examples of what 'could be' to me. Fast-forward 22 years and they are more in love than ever, and I hope Mary Kate and I are the same way in the years to come. God has truly blessed us."

John Luke's parents have known each other since Korie, John Luke's mom was in 3rd grade and his dad Willie was in 4th grade. They got married in 1992 when they were just 18 and 19 of age. Both have five wonderful children - three are biological (John Luke, Sadie, Bella) and two are adopted (Rebecca an Li'l Will).

Duck Dynasty is an American television reality series that shows the lives of family Robertson. Their wealth rose from their family operated business, Duck Commander.

The reality show has broken numerous ratings records on both A&E and cable television as a whole. On its fourth season, the premiere captured 11.8 million viewers which is the most-watched nonfiction cable series in history. The series garnered $80 million in advertising sales for the first nine months of 2013. Another $400 million was earned through merchandise, half of those through retail giant, Walmart.

Both John Luke and his blushing bride-to-be posted the exact photo on their Instagram pages. John Luke was holding a poster that says, "Future Mrs. Robertson" and his fiancé has her hand up, showing her gorgeous ring.

John Luke wrote in Instagram, "She. Said. Yes. @missmarymcmcmc," while she captioned, "Happy Birthday to the boy I'm going to marry."
