"Anaconda" singer Nicki Minaj shares her goals she has to reach after which she wants to experience "the joys of a family."
The 31-year-old singer said she wants to be a full-time mother someday, after reaching some goals in her music career.
"I don't want to work my whole life without ever experiencing the joys of a family. I would like to take a hiatus and dedicate myself completely to my child," she told the L'Uomo Vogue magazine on its October issue.
While "Anaconda" singer Nicki Minaj admitted that the "world of rap" is dominated by men, she is really determined to leave a mark in this genre. She also reiterated how she was not taken seriously while she was climbing the ladder of success.
"At first, no one took me seriously. In the world of rap, women are usually relegated to the choir.I want to build my empire. In my field, I have always seen men do it-from Diddy to Dr. Dre to Jay Z. Now it's a woman's turn."
The "Pound the Alarm" singer also shared her experience while performing with Beyonce on the final leg of latter's "On the Run" tour in September, at which Minaj was a special performer.
"Seeing Beyoncé with her daughter and husband was so tender. It showed me that it is possible to be an animal on stage and a caring mother at the same time," she shared with the magazine.
"Family has always been very important to me, and that is why I want to wait until the right moment before starting my own," she said.
But she also acknowledged the fact that this is not the right time for that. "Right now I am too busy, but at a certain point the situation will change," said the "Starship" singer.
