The Americans Season 3 Spoiler, Premier Date, Latest News: Things You Need To Know Before Show Returns As Revealed In The New York Comic-Con

| By

Craving for The Americans Season 3 spoiler? If you attended the New York Comic-Con last weekend, your hunger for more update on Philipp Jennings and Elizabeth Jennings is probably already fulfilled. If not, then read on so you can satisfy yourself. The show, which has no premier date yet for its third season, was full force at the event as it was attended by cast members Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys, Noah Emmerich and Annet Mahendru. They were also joined by Creator/Executive Producer/Writer Joe Weisberg and Executive Producer/Writer Joel Fields.

According to earlier The Americans Season 3 spoilers, "Lev Gorn, who plays Arkady Ivanovich has already been promoted to series regular for the new season that will open next year." Mahendru, who plays Nina Sergeevna, Agent Beeman's Soviet mole/triple agent, is also a series regular but the question "how long" is still up in the air, depending on how the story will play out.

While Nina's fate is still unclear, the friendship between Philipp and Noah Emmerich's Agent Stan Beeman is sure to blossom. According to Emmerich, his character and Rhys' will have more bonding even if they are on different sides, with him being with the USA's FBI and Matthew with the KGB.

"It's a funny thing because in the first two seasons, we loved seeing them together, we loved seeing their friendship. But the story never really drove them together," Weisberg said. "In this third season it's finally going to happen, I'm pleased to say." But don't expect more squash games in their future. According to Matthew Rhys, "there were too many injuries that day." Rhys also offered a fake plotline: "Stan goes deep cover at a sorority, and Phil goes with him! They're friends, after all."

With his looming friendship with his nemesis, it is automatic that his career and life as a whole will be a lot more difficult than it used to be. According to creators Fields and Weisberg, they would give Stan Beeman a much deserved break but that won't come anytime soon.

"It's a morality tale: Don't sleep with your blackmail victim," Weisberg joked.
