"I'm just taking everything one day at a time and being the best person I can possibly be at the end of the day," says Nick Cannon, the estranged husband of pop diva Mariah Carey in an Extra interview.
Being the best person Nick can possibly be was what the paparazzi exactly saw on October 10 in Tribecca. Like a shy debonair dressed to the nines in his first date, the 34-year-old TV host, actor and music producer was clad in a sharp blue, three-piece-suit with silk tie, and gentlemanly guiding her glamorous, demure brunette date to live and enjoy life away outside Mariah Carey. Weeks ago, efforts of removing the tattooed name of Mariah at his back have been started.
In the Extra interview, he said the tattoo removal is not done yet. "I'll talk to you when it gets finished. It wasn't supposed to be revealed yet. I was not in the middle of the street. I was on private property. I didn't know they were there. That's how sneaky paparazzi are."
He was also spotted days ago in a London club dating Amber Rose, whose relationship with Wiz Khalifa has also gone sour in September. Both deny the rumors though saying the sightings of them together was all business and part of the negotiation where Nick's management company shall take charge of Rose's career beginning early this year.
Confirmation of the Nick Cannon-Mariah Carey split came only four days ago. Even then, Nick said his wife is still the greatest performer of all time and wishes Mariah nothing but the best, referring to the latter's dismal vocal performance in Japan.
"We're in contact constantly. You know, you might have an off night here and there, but she's one of the greatest performers and entertainers of all time. She's not worried. We're not worried. Just going to keep pushing." In the Japan tour, Mariah dissed Nick in one song, referring to his cheating.
