'Game Of Thrones' star Kit Harington has gained another fan.
Director Paul W.S. Anderson recently praised the 'Game Of Thrones' star Kit Harington for his professionalism and discipline while shooting for the movie 'Pompeii.'
According to BANG Showbiz, Anderson called the young actor a "classic movie star."
''Kit does hark back to a lot of my favourite actors," Anderson said. "People like Clint Eastwood and Steve McQueen".
He further explained, ''They were famous for going through scripts and dialogue and saying, 'You know what I can do this just with a look or just the way I hold myself.' To me, he is a classic movie star in that regard.''
The 27-year-old actor displayed such dedication while shooting for 'Pompeii' which was released earlier this year. Harington played a gladiator who had to literally fight for his freedom.
According to Xpose Entertainment, Anderson also straightened out the rumors about having to alter Harington's physique for the movie. The helmer insisted that Kit Harington's body in the movie was all thanks to the British actor's determination to portray his role as Milo as best as he could.
''He became a warrior," the 'Resident Evil' director said. "Most of that, his body, didn't come from going to the gym a lot."
He further revealed the secret to the actor's transformation: "It came from doing endless sword fighting training and just diet. In that regard he became the gladiator that he was playing.''
Even Neil Marshall, who directed an episode of 'Game Of Thrones,' was impressed with Harington's physical improvement. Marshall reportedly thanked Anderson for turning Harington into "an amazing gladiator" through an email.
Anderson said, "He said it's much easier to shoot all the action scenes. He really went to gladiator bootcamp.''
On the other hand, Kit Harington will change his image once again for the 'Testament Of Youth,' a World War I film he will star in alongside Alicia Vikander. He will be playing Roland Leighton, a (beardless) young soldier ripped away from his lover's arms because of war.
He will also be back for season five of 'Games Of Thrones' next year.
